Mahogany, applied with very rich and fine gilt bronze application in form of garlands, blossoms, foliage, acanthus, lion head as well as three large gilt bronze plaques, one in the centre of the commode, one at each side with mythological scenes in high relief.

This furniture was made after a model by the world famous cabinet makers Joseph Stockel and Guillaume Benneman for the castle of Fontainbleau.
