Superb gold mounted amazonite small box by the firm of Bolin, jeweler of the Imperial Court, made in Moscow between 1899 and 1908, workmaster Ivan Antonovich Flink. Height 1 3/4 in. (4,2 cm).

This particular box is illustrated in the exhibition catalog W.A. Bolin Court Jeweller, Moscow, 2001, page 187, Nr. 151.
The body is carved from a single piece of amazonite and applied with stylized finely chased gold trees in Art Nouveau taste. The gold trees are set with tiny rubies and rose-cut diamonds. The diamond-set gold thumbpiece is shaped as a branch. Struck with 56 zolotniks standard (14K / 583 gold), workmaster's initials 'I.F' and Moscow assay stamp with initials of Ivan Lebedkin. Scratched inventory number 9179.
