A highly important walnut bombe commode in the English taste. Of well figured walnut with finely chased gilt bronze drop handles. Of upward swelling bombé form, the chevron banded top above three chevron banded drawers incorporating a moulded central niche with rococo carving and out-turned acanthine foot, the sides with chevron banding framing a central rectangular panel, the whole raised on plain bracket feet united by a shaped apron.
