Escuela Flamenca, Retrato de Hombre. Hacia 1630.

Flemish School, Portrait of Man. 1630. Oil on copper. We present a work of great interest. The corresponding figure for his clothing to fashion in 1630, developed in Spain and the Netherlands at this time. Since physical appearance is probably a Spanish king's service in Flanders. The delicacy with which the painter makes his face, the expression and hair care to run as it strives to use the brush in great detail allow us to attribute this portrait as a painter who knew the importance of gender and development at the time. It should be noted also manages to convey the intensity in the eyes of the character portrayed, the artist uses a limited color palette: ochres, blacks white, but the sitter's personality is well achieved, the nuances of the face, the sparkle in the eyes where you can see even a spot, the shadows of the neck, the contrasts on the bottom of the table we confirm the quality of this work. This is undoubtedly a collector's item not only for its quality but also by the historic nature of the character represented. This picture comes from a French private collection, retains an old French part of the nineteenth century as well as some old records in French on the back of the picture.
