Jean Guillaume Rosier (Lanaken 1858 - Antwerp 1931). Belgian School. The image of her mother. Painter of interiors, portraits and historical and religious subjects. Pupil at the Antwerp Academy under Charles Verlat and later at the 'Ecole des Beaux-Arts' in Paris under Cabanel and Carolus Duran. Rosier made his debut in 1884, then became Honorary Director of the Malines Academy. He was also an honorary inspector of the Academies and Schools of Drawing in Flanders. Rosier specialised mainly in 18th century genre scenes. His "Chemin de la Croix" for the Lanaeken Church (built by his father) is amongst his most famous works. Oil on panel.
