Littr. Mortelmans is considered as one of the most important belgian flower & fruit painter of the late 19th century. His realistic style influenced by impressionisme and his mastery over "clair-obscur" made him worldwide succesfull.
In 2009 his monography was published, containing over 700 illustrated works.
Works in the following museums: Antwerp, Courtrai, Ostende, Saint-Nicolas, Tongerlo & Omaha (USA).
