Neo-Renaissance silver-gilt brooch in the form of a female figure playing a viol, flanked by two winged cherubs, set in a Renaissance-style niche. The ciseled figure is in silver, the architectural settings in gilt silver with the addition of turquoise-blue enamel. Work of the famous Parisian jeweller Froment-Meurice (1802-1855)
